Our Story:

As physical therapists working across different settings, we see patients unable to obtain services for physical therapy for a wide range of reasons. Some are not able to obtain coverage for their visits from their insurance companies. Some providers do not accept insurance leaving patients at a loss for treatment. These patients have to settle for physical therapy services that are overbooked and understaffed. For those patients who do have insurance coverage, other barriers prevent them from getting appointments. Some of these patients have physical disabilities and need assistance with transportation to the office. Others have scheduling conflicts and time constraints with other life priorities. If you’ve experienced these challenges you can understand why the difficulty in achieving therapeutic progress prolongs the healing process.

Our mission evolved from witnessing the challenges that patients face in receiving and maintaining care: we want to give everyone, everywhere the opportunity to heal and build a resilient body through physio and training. To do this, we had to create a solution for people to access one-on-one care at an affordable price to get them the results that they are seeking.

Human Physical Therapy was born out of a need to provide equal access to physical therapy and help sustain physical progress in treatment. Typically, patients see a physical therapist to minimize or eliminate pain through corrective exercise, then separately seek a personal trainer to focus on building strength. Human Physical Therapy is bridging the gap between physical therapy and training so that people can get healthier and build a stronger body for long lasting resilience against injury.

Giving Back:

The conditions in which one lives, grows, and experiences are shaped by a set of interrelated social, cultural, and economic factors, largely known as underlying determinants of health. These factors are primarily the cause of health inequity within and between populations. This tremendous degree of inequality in healthcare that we see today, locally and abroad, is not only heartbreaking, but it is preventable with the correct approach. The solutions are there, yet we have failed in effectively delivering them to those who need it the most.

We recognize that there are many people don’t have access to the healthcare they need. We are grateful and fortunate to be in a position to help those people through our virtual care company. In an effort to provide assistance to those who need physical therapy, we are going to contribute a portion of our profits to sponsor physical therapists to provide PT services to those in need. We thank you in advance for supporting our mission and ensuring that we can provide equal access to all.
